CK Venture

* We have received reports that bulk carrier, CK VENTURE, experienced an engine failure whilst in a position north west of Sabang, Indonesia on 28 May 2022.

* It is reported that the vessel was taken under tow by tug to Port Klang, Malaysia where repairs were effected and the vessel is now underway under its own power to the destination port.

* Shipowners have declared GA in light of the extraordinary expenses incurred for the safety of the common maritime adventure. Consequently, GA security is required to be provided in respect of all cargo stowed on board the vessel prior to delivery of cargo at the destination port.

* We are already instructed by certain Cargo Insurers and we are liaising with Average Adjusters as to the terms of the security to be provided. We may also be able to offer certain economies of scale in respect of any third party costs which may need to be incurred.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
