* We have received reports that a fire was ignited in a cargo hold on board container ship, SL TWEETY shortly after the vessel departed from Mersin on 7 June 2022.

* The fire is reported to have been extinguished by the crew but the vessel later diverted to Mersin anchorage and requested assistance.

* The vessel currently remains at Mersin anchorage.

* It is possible that General Average and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
